The Fifty Nifty

Beginning in 2012 two photographers have embarked on a mission to photograph 50 weddings, in 50 weeks, in 50 states to raise $50,000 to support victims of human trafficking, one of the fastest growing crimes in the world.  From every photography package they book along their route $1,000 will be donated to She Dances, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide holistic restoration for young girls who have been trafficked and sexually exploited.

Jonny and Michelle Hoffner are a husband and wife photography team, Paper Antler, and the creators of the mission Fifty Nifty.   I was so impressed with their mission and even more impressed by their photography.   There are many ways to get involved with Fifty Nifty.  If you are a bride getting married in 2012 check out their route and see when they will be nearby (even if they are not en route they can see what they can do to photograph your wedding).   Why wouldn’t you want to hire not only talented photographers for your wedding but also photographers that will contribute to such an incredible cause?

They also have a variety of sponsorship opportunities where fellow photographers or vendors can match them wedding for wedding.  Since this couple is traveling across all 50 states you can even help by giving them a place to stay!!  Or you can go directly to She Dances to donate.

Jonny and Michelle will be in Georgia on December 8, 2012 and they are still available for this date so I encourage you to reach out to them if this is around your wedding date for photography.

They will be detailing their travels through their blog and you can also go there to see some of their awesome photography.

I hope this has inspired you like it inspired me and I can’t wait to follow them along this journey!
