Glendalough Manor Real Wedding: Red and Gold

“A Romantic Affair”

Shay and Shahid were married in the stunning gardens of Glendalough Manor on July 14, 2012. One hundred and twenty of the couples closest friends and family gathered to witness the beautiful ceremony.

The bride wore a ruched wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline and a beaded empire waist. She accented her gown with a birdcage veil adorned with feathers and diamond teardrop earrings.  Shay carried a bouquet made by Blueberry Springs of all red roses.  The Maid and Matrons of honor wore champagne dresses while the bridesmaids wore red dresses.  They carried either a red rose bouquet or yellow/orange bouquet all tied with red ribbon.

The groom wore an off white tuxedo, tie and vest while the groomsmen wore traditional black tuxedos with red ties and vests.

After the ceremony guests were invited in to the Avondale Ballroom for the reception. Ciao Bella Weddings designed a beautiful reception using an assortment of red flowers in all different shades of red.  Ivory linens and napkins draped the tables and were accented with gold runners and gold organza ties on the mahogany wooden chiavari chairs.  This allowed the tall and short red arrangements to pop in the room against the ivory linens.

Guests enjoyed a dinner of seafood creole and parmesan crusted chicken.  The bride changed in to a second A-line, strapless wedding dress for the reception and One of A Kind Music kept them dancing all night!

Thank you to Image Makers photography who did an incredible job capturing the day.  You can truly see the love story captured in their wedding photos.

Congratulations to the happy couple from all of us at Glendalough Manor!
