Ah the honeymoon! Most couples get so wrapped up in planning the wedding day that they forget about planning the honeymoon. After all the stress of the wedding day and the bliss of becoming husband and wife, the temporary honeymoon cloud becomes very real when all the hustle is over and the happy couple suddenly remembers that they are on their way to an amazing vacation together! With the help of the internet, we have the world at our fingertips…literally! The first step is determining which honeymoon couple you are. Do you prefer relaxing on the beach and sipping on yummy drinks or jet setting across the world to site see in Europe? Are you the couple that wants to be engulfed in a tropical jungle or climbing a mountain in the United States? Either way, your honeymoon is your first vacation as husband and wife and a way to celebrate and enjoy your new life together!
So, which one are you?
Australia is a super long and expensive flight but well worth it! You get a fast growing economy mixed with the beach, mountains, outback and wonderful wineries to visit.
Choosing to travel abroad is a wonderful idea! It is usually a long flight and the language barriers don’t help but it gives you a chance to travel the world to many different countries in one trip before your busy lives get in the way. You can hop a train to another country in moments!
Kuai is where my husband and I spent our honeymoon! It is a beautiful, secluded island in Hawaii with the beach and hiking right at your fingertips!
If you are on a tight budget for your honeymoon, consider staying in the United States. The flights are cheaper, travel time is less and there is no language barrier! Cities like Denver, New York City and Napa Valley give you the opportunity to explore and wine and dine.
The great thing about honeymooning to places like Jamaica, The Bahamas and St. John allow you the maximum Caribbean experience with a relatively short flight. From Georgia, it is only about an hour and a half flight!
Tip: consider asking for honeymoon donations to travel activities or flight costs in lieu of tangible gifts.
Happy Honeymoon!
