Creative Guest Book Ideas!

The wedding guest book has come such a long way even just over the past few years.  I got married in 2007 and my husband and I went did not give much thought to our guest book; we just chose one of those standard guest books that you can buy off the internet.  I have to admit that I have not pulled that thing out once to look at it.  Looking back, I wish I would have had an outlet like Pinterest to open my eyes up to the possibilities of what a “guest book” could be.

Hundreds of years ago, the guest book began as a testimony to the validity of the marriage.  With the wedding guests signing the book, it was proven that the wedding actually happened and it was proven trough this testimony.

I absolutely love these unique alternatives to a guest book that make it a little more handy to display or re-live through your daily lives as husband and wife!

Capturing The Moment!

As we enter into the month of Love, I can’t help but to channel my inner romantic side!  When I used to run weddings, my favorite part of the entire day was the ceremony.  I just love seeing couples start their life together and how their love brings everyone together.  Being truly in love with someone has a different meaning for each person and it is usually quite difficult to put into words how much you love your partner!  The reason we tell our couples that photography can be one of the single most important parts of your wedding day is because unlike an inability to express your love with just a few words, photography can capture your love in the moment.  That look, that smile, that moment that a photographer can capture when you least expect it can be a very telling part of your love story.

I hope you enjoy these stunning and heartfelt images as much as I do!

Not only are images of the bride and groom captured but moments with the family can be just as moving.  In a traditional Indian wedding, it is very emotional when the daughter gets married because that day, she is no longer considered part of their family the way she used to be; she is married now and gives her whole self to her groom and his family.

Wedding Stations for the Guys

Most men aren’t very excited to attend a wedding.  Let’s face it, most of the day is all about the bride and what she wants.  Sometimes as a bride you forget to include something special for the groom and the men in attendance.  Here are a few simple things you can do to ensure the men in attendance at your wedding have a great time.

One of the easiest ways to make any man the happiest is through his stomach.  Offer food that cater to the men in your life.  A bacon bar is a great way to do that!  Pair it with chocolate and the men and women will love you for it!

What guy doesn’t like chili?  Serve  and eat it in a Frito bag for a fun twist!

Another great food station is a hot dog bar! I love the idea of serving a few different popular styles like below!

For a sweet treat the guys and ladies will love, have a doughnut bar!

If you are having liquor at your wedding try a Whiskey or Scotch bar.

And the cigar bar is still very popular for the guys (and some girls) to celebrate the day.

Do you have any other ideas guys would enjoy at a wedding?
