“A Vintage Inspired Wedding”
On July 21, 2012 Kimberly and Matthew were married outside in the gardens at Glendalough Manor. Kimberly and Matt met at a church softball game. Matt was playing on the same team as Kimberly’s step dad and she came to watch one night….I guess the rest is history!
The bride wore a beautiful fitted gown with a sweetheart neckline. She wore her hair half up and half down with curls surrounding her face. She carried an all white bouquet filled with hydrangea and roses accented with pearl studs. The bridesmaids wore tea length chocolate brown gowns and carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas with ivory and mauve roses. I love the halo for the bridesmaid to wear in her hair….such a beautiful flower girl!
The groom wore a traditional black tuxedo with a white tie and vest and his groomsmen also wore black tuxedos with chocolate brown vests and ties. Their suits were accented with a white rose boutonniere for the groom and mauve rose boutonnieres for the groomsmen.
One of my favorite aspects of the wedding was how Kimberly and Matthew decorated the ceremony area. A floral arch hung above the pergola with a stunning chandelier hanging under the pergola that added a touch of elegance and romance. The chairs had pew ends with glass mason jars filled with ivory and mauve matching flowers.
Guests were treated to pink lemonade before the ceremony to help stay cool during the ceremony!
After the ceremony the guests were led to the Wicklow Ballroom at Glendalough Manor for the reception. Ciao Bella Weddings helped in bringing Kimberly’s vision to life. She used Rose Pink linens and ivory napkins accented with a chocolate brown band with the couples initials on the napkin. Kimberly says, “My favorite part of the wedding was the reception. It all went so well, very organized, fun, loved the music, food, and most of all seeing all my friends and family, and people I haven’t seen in years.”
The head table was decorated with antique candelabras with a grouping of flowers. On the head table, the bride displayed her grandmothers gloves and hat she wore on her wedding day 53 years ago.
Chef Raymond prepared Parmesan Crusted Chicken (my favorite ;)) and Cajun style Roast Beef.
Kimberly and Matthew left in the Georgia Tech Ramblin’ Wreck! How fitting!
Kimberly said “Without Glendalough Manor I wouldn’t have had the wedding of my dreams!” and her advice to future brides is ” To not stress out so much! Stay positive about everything, and no matter what happens on your wedding, at the end of the day your still gonna be married!”
