One of the newest trends in weddings for 2014 is color blocking.  Color blocking is “blocks” of solid colors put together.   In 2014, you will see color blocking in everything from wedding fashion to wedding decor.  When using bright colors this look can make a very a bold statement.  Here are some of our favorite inspiration photos to help you create the perfect color blocked wedding.

Start off by finding the perfect color blocked invitation in your wedding colors.

My favorite way to use color blocking is with the bridesmaid dresses!  Another hot trend is to have bridesmaids wear skirts. Choose a skirt in one color and a shirt in another to create your perfect color blocked combination.

If you don’t find the right bridesmaid dress, wear a fun color blocked shoe!

Use draping during the ceremony in solid bold colors to create the color blocked look.

For the reception tables, use the same vases with different colored flowers in each one.  Or choose color blocked stationary and plates with the same color flowers.

You can’t have a color blocked wedding without carrying the same theme for the cake.  We love these color blocked wedding cakes!
