Glendalough Manor Real Wedding: Karen and Eric

Karen and Eric

February 24, 2012

Karen and Eric were married at Glendalough Manor on February 24, 2012 with one hundred and seventy of their closest friends and family in attendance.

The bride wore a beautiful sweetheart neckline gown with ruching along the bodice and waistline with soft layers of ruffles along the bottom.  She wore a simple strand of pearls around her neck and peal earrings to match.

The bridesmaids wore platinum satin full length gowns with a sweetheart neckline and a sparkling crystal brooch was worn at the waistline.  To match the bride, the bridesmaids wore silver pearls and earrings.

The groom wore his military uniform for the ceremony. L-O-V-E this picture!

The ceremony was held in the Avondale ballroom and DGL Designs Florist did an amazing job at transforming the ballroom in to a romantic and elegant ceremony location.  The bride chose a beautiful lavender aisle runner and DGL used two large candelabras with flowers on either side of the mantle with a matching spray arrangement in the center.  The aisle was lined with tall stanchions with flowers on top.

The couple chose a jazz trio to play during the ceremony and gave the guests also enjoyed this music during the cocktail hour and dinner.  After the cocktail hour guests entered the Wicklow ballroom and were amazed at it’s beauty.  The tables were draped in lavender with platinum napkins.  The bride used candelabras provided by Glendalough Manor and DGL Designs adorned the candelabras with an epergnette of matching flowers and a circlet of rose petals.

The couple danced their first dance to “At Last” by Etta James.  Everyone at the reception loved this choice of song!

Glendalough Manor’s chef, Raymond Gregory, served a selection of Jerk Chicken, Seafood Creole and Beef Tenderloin. Yummy!

Cakes by Lameeka created this unbelievable cake!  One of the prettiest cakes I have seen…I love the touch of sparkle!

The couple left the reception to sparklers!

Congratulations to Karen and Eric!  Best wishes from all of the staff at Glendalough Manor!

Thank you to Stephanie Hamlet for these beautiful pictures and not missing any details of this beautiful wedding!
