“A Magnolia Inspired Wedding”
On July 6, 2012 Melody and James were married in the beautiful gardens of Glendalough Manor. Melody and James were introduced by mutual friends and had their first date at Chipotle. Melody says they didn’t even finish their food because they couldn’t stop smiling at each other!
Melody looked stunning in a white, strapless, sweetheart neckline gown accented with beading. James wore a classic white shirt, tie and vest with a black tuxedo.
Glendalough Manor’s breathtaking gardens served as the backdrop for the ceremony and with Grant Cole officiating the couple had a very emotional ceremony. Michael Shi, their photographer, captured every heartfelt moment. The couple says there are so many reasons they chose Glendalough Manor. Their top three reasons were the venue’s beauty, the whole staff’s attention to detail, and how special they made her feel not only on your big day, but all throughout the planning process.
The bride knew she wanted a classic color palette of white, ivory and bronze and knew she wanted to incorporate her favorite flower, magnolias. Blueberry Springs Florist did an incredible job bringing her vision to life by creating her bouquet of magnolia blooms, roses, lisianthus, orchids, and antique hydrangea. The groom wore a white dendrobium orchid to match the bridal bouquet.
The bridesmaids wore a satin tea length dress of ivory and champagne and carried ivory bouquets of roses, spray roses, lisianthus and antique hydrangea.
For the reception the couple chose ivory linens and napkins accented with mahogany chiavari chairs and bronze organza sashes all provided by Glendalough Manor. The guests were served a delicious meal prepared by Glendalough Manor’s on-site chef. Melody and James offered guests a choice of baked chicken with sundried tomatoes, Sirloin Steak or Sole with Brown Butter and Crab meat. Yum!
The bride and groom and their guests danced the night away with One of A Kind Productions as their DJ.

Melody and James said if they could give advice to other couples it would be to give yourself at least a day to recover before leaving for your honeymoon! On a grander scale, laugh through everything and enjoy the little moments!
