Trash Your Wedding Dress! Do or Don’t?

I am sure most of you have heard of trashing your wedding dress.  For those of you who haven’t, this is a photo shoot done after the wedding involving activities that may ruin or “trash” your wedding gown.  So many brides say they will never wear their dress again and they don’t plan to keep it as an heirloom.  Their thought is why not take some amazing photographs that you couldn’t take on your wedding day?  Of course this trend is not for every bride! You have to make sure that you don’t mind seeing that beloved gown get ruined!

My favorite time to do a trash the dress photo shoot is on your honeymoon.  Take advantage of the location and enjoy a shoot inspired by your honeymoon destination.  If you are traveling somewhere tropical, how beautiful are these photographs on the beach?

Think about some of your favorite hobbies, likes, or interests to come up with a unique idea for your trash the dress session that has significance to you. If you or your fiance play sports think about a trash the dress session involving that sport like football, soccer, or baseball!

You can even choose the great outdoors as your backdrop.  And don’t be afraid to get a little dirty!

For a bold and unique photo shoot think about a paint war or a food fight (all in good fun of course) with your new hubby!
