A popular wedding dress trend for 2013 and 2014 are dresses with straps and sleeves. Along with this reemerging trend are plunging necklines! Designers are creating dresses with sleeves that are elegant and modest yet show a hint of skin with the neckline.

When looking for a dress with a plunging neckline make sure to consider how “plunging” you want your neckline to be. If you are busty on top, a shorter V-neckline will look classier.

My favorite dresses with plunging necklines are inspired by the 1920’s and have a vintage flair.

Do you like these plunging necklines? Is it trashy or classy?
A trend that has been gaining popularity since the recent Royal Wedding is long sleeved wedding gowns. This Fall it is no surprise that so many designers have made dresses with sleeves. In my opinion if you are having a Fall or Winter wedding, you have to take a second look at a gown with sleeves. Not only does it make sense for keeping you warm but they typically offer a little more modesty than other gowns.
For Fall 2013, many of these gowns have illusion necklines and lace detailing on the sleeves. This shows the perfect hint of skin to feel your most beautiful without feeling like you are showing too much.

If you are unsure about sleeves and want to show a little shoulder, look at this off the shoulder dress with three quarter length sleeves.

This year is all about the back of the dress! You will see long sleeved simplistic gowns with more detail on the back of the dress than the front!

Keep in mind that just because a dress has sleeves it is not always a modest dress. I love the combination of a long sleeved gown with a plunging neckline like the dresses below. Gorgeous!

What do you think about these gowns?
Would you wear a gown with sleeves? We want to know!
Sleeves are back for 2013!! I am excited to say that designers are making gowns with sleeves this year. Some brides are choosing a gown with sleeves for a little modesty while others are wanting a dress that is unique in style and simply put, not strapless. A great compromise between a long sleeved wedding gown and a strapless dress are cap sleeves. This makes the perfect blend of modesty and uniqueness.
Lace wedding gowns are still on trend for 2013 including lace gowns with cap sleeves.

Many of the lace gowns on the runways this year have a high neckline and cap sleeves. Such a classic and beautiful design.

A new twist on the cap sleeve is how embellished the sleeves are. They almost resemble jewelry for your shoulders!

You can also choose a sheer cap sleeve gown for a soft, romantic look. Perfect for brides that love the look of a strapless gown but want something a little more unique!
