Wedding Fashion Trend: Bridal Headbands

I love brides in traditional wedding veils but these bridal head bands might have you ditching the veil for these stylish and modern hair accessories.

You can find a head band to match almost any gown.  These headbands are made out of tulle, lace and even crystals.

Depending on the style of the dress you can find a more classic and simple head band.

Or choose a large headband made out of crystals or flowers to make a bold statement.

Vintage Bridal Hair

This year is all about vintage inspired weddings and bridal hair is no exception.  Taking inspiration from the past, hairstylists are creating vintage yet modern styles to fit every hair type and length.  If you want a vintage wedding or just love the looks of the past, you should try a vintage hairstyle.  My tip is to make sure that your makeup fits whatever era you choose.  Here are some of our favorite vintage hair looks!

The 1920’s is another huge trend in weddings (think Great Gatsby) and hair from the 1920’s and 30s is sleek and sultry. For long hair try sleek curls and add a fascinator for the perfect finish!

Another trend in wedding themes is retro weddings from the 50’s and 60’s. These styles are fun and playful.  Add a beautiful birdcage veil or flower to complete the look!

Wedding Hair 2013: Ponytails

An easy casual way to wear your hair is in a ponytail. This year the ponytail has went from casual to stunning!

I love the look of wearing a casual updo with a fancy wedding dress.  With a simple updo the focus is on your face and not your hair. Another great thing about a classic ponytail is that is easy to do yourself and can save you money by not hiring a professional hairstylist.  This look is also a nice classic look for bridesmaids.

For a natural organic look try waving your hair and putting it in a ponytail!  Make sure to tie your hair around the ponytail holder for a more finished look!

My favorite ponytail is worn off to the side with massive curls!

If you don’t have long hair, get some extensions to make a fuller ponytail!
