These days, photo booths are the new staple at weddings and for good reason. They are so much fun for the guests as well as a great favor and keepsake for them to take home! Getting a photo booth from a company can be a little bit of a squeeze on the pocket book since they range from $600-$1200. If you are looking for a unique photo booth that won’t break the bank try making your own and hiring someone to take the photos. This could save you a bundle!
Making your own DIY photo background is simple and can be made from a large sheet of plywood and a few 2x4s. You can cut out a whole and place a large frame for guests to stand behind.
My favorite take on this is to make the wall look like a wall of photos in a home and put a few empty frames so a group of people can take a photo instead of one or two people!
If this looks like a little too much work for you, try something a little easier to make. Anything you can think of that can make a background will work. Even a curtain or sheet can be hung for an instant photo booth background!
Use old shutter and doors as a simple background with a few chairs or couch for guests to sit in!
Streamers or paper lanterns arranged close together make an easy and adorable background!
For an outside wedding try hanging a large frame for a ready made photo area!
And don’t forget about the props! Even a simple background can make great pictures when you have props for guests to have fun with!
