A usual hot and humid June Sunday in Georgia and the threat for rain was imminent at ninety percent that whole day. Annalisa, understandably beside discouraged over the weather after planning for over a year to have her ceremony in the beautiful gardens at Glendalough Manor! Luckily for her, a surprising turn of events in the weather came over Tyrone and it turned out to be a beautiful, no, gorgeous sunny day. The trade off on the heat in lieu of the rain was tolerated and well worth it.
Among my days working at Glendalough, I have witnessed a number of different cultural weddings. I have to say, that Romanian weddings are among my favorite! It’s ALL ABOUT THE CEREMONY! Family and food are also at the top of the chain when it comes to importance. We hope you enjoy these lovely pictures by Southern Portrait and Video of Josh and Annalisa’s beautiful Romanian wedding at Glendalough!
Seeing her Daddy for the first time!
It’s all family!
During the HOUR long ceremony, the bride and groom as well as the bridal party takes their seats!
I have searched the most sought after pins and favorites on Pinterest and Wedding Gawker and have narrowed down my top ten favorite wedding picks of 2015! Everywhere from reception details, fashion and photography, these are my favorite wedding trends and styles for the upcoming wedding season! Who knows, maybe we will see a few of these at Glendalough Manor this year.
As we enter into the month of Love, I can’t help but to channel my inner romantic side! When I used to run weddings, my favorite part of the entire day was the ceremony. I just love seeing couples start their life together and how their love brings everyone together. Being truly in love with someone has a different meaning for each person and it is usually quite difficult to put into words how much you love your partner! The reason we tell our couples that photography can be one of the single most important parts of your wedding day is because unlike an inability to express your love with just a few words, photography can capture your love in the moment. That look, that smile, that moment that a photographer can capture when you least expect it can be a very telling part of your love story.
I hope you enjoy these stunning and heartfelt images as much as I do!
Seeing your bride walk down the aisle for the first time!
A father seeing his daughter in her wedding gown…I’m sure a day he has been thinking about since she was little!
When no one else in the room matters but the two of you!
Not only are images of the bride and groom captured but moments with the family can be just as moving. In a traditional Indian wedding, it is very emotional when the daughter gets married because that day, she is no longer considered part of their family the way she used to be; she is married now and gives her whole self to her groom and his family.
Looking into each other’s eyes can be the most romantic part of a ceremony!
Taking a moment together after you are husband and wife is so important.
