Of course a red has to be on the list and Samba is a great deep red color perfect for a Fall wedding and so striking against white.

Acai, a deep purple, is a beautiful Fall color that can stand alone or paired with touches of red like Samba adds even more depth to the color palette.

Wedding Colors: Nectarine

If you are having a Summer wedding and haven’t chosen your colors yet, you may want to consider Nectarine. This year you will see a trend towards more classic color palettes and details.  Nectarine is the perfect color to fit an elegant theme.  It looks great on it’s own yet is neutral enough to pair well with many colors.

Nectarine paired with ivory makes a soft, romantic color combination.  I love the idea of choosing different shades of Nectarine to give some contrast throughout the event.

For a brighter and bolder color combination, try lemon zest, another on trend color for Spring and Summer, paired with nectarine.

Another on trend color this year that is perfect with Nectarine is grayed jade.  This soft green pairs beautifully with nectarine.

If grayed jade is too muted for you try, a deeper turquoise blue or aqua.

Fuchsia pink and nectarine makes a beautiful bright summer wedding palette.

Wedding Colors 2013: Gold!

Gold is back to stay!  Over the past few years, the color gold was rarely used in weddings and silver was the accent color of choice.  In 2013, you will see a shift from silver to gold.  The trend this year is back to modern elegance with chandeliers, large blooming flowers and of course gold.  Gold pairs well with most colors and some of these color combinations are so chic and beautiful you may end up choosing gold for your wedding! Here are some of my favorite color combinations using gold.

The color of the year is emerald green and it is the perfect compliment to gold. These rich tones lend itself to an elegant, opulent and rich looking affair made for an evening wedding.

If you like emerald green but want a softer color palette for Spring/Summer try another on trend color, mint green.  I am in love with everything mint green and gold richens this color combination to give the right amount of contrast.

Another color that pairs well with gold is pink.  My favorite shade of pink with gold is a blush pink which is romantic and classic.

For a brighter color palette than pink, try coral and gold! Love!  For an extra layer of color you can even throw in a little mint green for a stunning Summer color combination.

Purple is an on trend color for 2013 and most brides think silver is the perfect compliment.  Try gold to switch up the look and deepen the color palette.

Of course you can always go for an all white wedding with gold accents.  So classic and chic!
