Winter White Weddings!!!

In light of our winter snow storm here in Georgia today and tomorrow, I thought I would honor the beauty of winter weddings!  You see, most people think of Christmas weddings when they imagine a winter wedding but there is so much more you can do with a winter wedding in say January or February.  I think snow is one of the beautiful things that nature can bring us…yes, it’s unbearably cold but the magic of how it transcends our surroundings into a breathtaking setting can really make for an amazing wedding and photos.  Although it does not snow that often in Georgia, we wanted to share some great winter wedding ideas with you in case you are planning a wedding in Colorado, New York or Tahoe where the snow is abundant and gorgeous!  Of course, winter weddings in the south can be just as beautiful as you can simulate these ideas in the indoor spaces.

We hope you enjoy and stay warm on this snowy day in Georgia!!

Flower Headpieces

Flowers are not just for carrying anymore!  We saw it in the 70’s…an era where free spirits and “flower children” where everywhere.  But we have never seen it in weddings and done at this caliber!  I am so excited to share this stunning new trend with the you.  Flower headpieces are up and coming in the wedding industry and I have to say it is one of my favorite trends in a long time.  What a beautiful and romantic way to bring flowers into a wedding in more ways than just bouquets and centerpieces.

I hope to see this trend play out at Glendalough Manor in the upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 season!

Wedding Gloves!

Can you believe that wedding gloves are back on trend this year?  They aren’t just for princesses anymore!  These gloves are the perfect accessory to add a little extra drama to your wedding attire.

Vintage gloves from the 50’s and 60’s add sweetness and femininity to a wedding look.

Wearing black wedding gloves or dark colored gloves are a great way to add a touch of color.

A modern way to wear gloves is with leather ones.  Many gloves you find are white but for a modern take try brown or black leather gloves.

For a classic look wear lace gloves!
