The newest way to keep your guests cool at a Summer wedding is to treat them with popsicles! Who doesn’t love a popsicle on a hot Summer day? These yummy popsicles are showing up at weddings all over and guests are going gaga over these sweet treats.

The great thing about popsicles is there are so many different flavors and colors to fit any wedding.  You can hire a popsicle truck or ask your caterer to serve them or look at making them yourself to save money!

My favorite idea is to combine popsicles with alcohol as a unique signature drink! Put a flavored popsicle in a glass of champagne and as it melts it takes on the flavor of the popsicle.

Creative Ways to Use Mason Jars

You can’t have a rustic wedding without mason jars! Mason jars are the perfect way to add a little southern charm to your wedding decor.  One of the best things about mason jars is how versatile they are.  Of course I love when brides use mason jars as a vase for flowers but you can also use mason jars in so many different and creative ways.  Here are some of our favorite ways to use mason jars for your wedding!

My favorite way to use mason jars is for lighting!  During the ceremony add votive candles to the jars and hang them from trees, cluster them together for a backdrop or hang them from ceremony chairs to use as pew ends.

For the reception, I love taking mason jars and making chandeliers or lighting fixtures to hang above the guest tables.

You can also use mason jars during the reception on the guest tables to light the arrangements.

A creative way to display photos is to use mason jars. Filled with oil it gives a vintage look to the photographs.

Another great way to use mason jars is to use them as drinking glasses for the reception.  I especially like the idea of using the drinking glasses as their place card and favor.

Wedding Trends: Chicken Wire

You may be wondering how chicken wire could ever be used at a wedding?  I have to admit I was questioning this trend too but just wait until you see some of these amazing ways that chicken wire can be used.  Once you look at some of these ideas it should clear any doubt you have.  Of course using chicken wire for your wedding decor is not for every bride but if you are having a rustic wedding or casual affair chicken wire may be the perfect decor item for you!

I love the idea of attaching chicken wire to a frame and using it as a holder for the place cards.   You can use the same idea and build a large wooden frame with chicken wire attached to make a dramatic and unique backdrop!

Take chicken wire and wrap it around to make a cone.  Add some flowers inside and these make simple DIY pew ends for the ceremony.

Any chicken wire basket or box can make a perfect card box or a great way to hold food during the reception.

Baskets can also make a great holder for flowers for a centerpiece on the guest tables!

Chicken wire wrapped around small glass vases or mason jars make beautiful votives when you put a candle inside.  You can even hang them to light up the ceremony or reception.
