Peach and Mint Wedding Colors

Taking a page right out of the 1960’s, the soft colors of mint and peach go perfectly together for a retro inspired wedding.  I like this wedding color combination best for a vintage themed wedding. It may even go well for a southern themed wedding, especially for a wedding in Georgia (peaches and all :)) Peach and mint make for such a romantic color combination. If you like this color combination take a look at some of these inspiration photographs.

You can decide which color you want to be used more at the wedding….peach or mint.  Depending on the color you choose it will change the entire look of the wedding.

For a vintage wedding, use mint colored linens and peach flowers.

Look how awesome this mint cake looks?

I think the mint or the peach color bridesmaid dresses look beautiful. Especially when you pair it with the coordinating color for the accessories.

What do you think about this mint and peach wedding color combination?

Tangerine Tango: 2012 Color of the Year

Pantone announced that Tangerine Tango is the 2012 Color of the Year and it is showing up everywhere in weddings!

I have to admit when I heard the color of the year I was a little disappointed (I have never been a huge fan of orange; red hair and all :)) but when I saw Tangerine Tango I instantly knew it would be a great color for weddings.  Tangerine Tango is much deeper than a traditional orange and can be paired with so many different colors and give a different feeling depending on the shade it is paired with.  You can also use Tangerine Tango in any season if it is paired with the right color.  Here are some of my favorite pairings with Tangerine Tango as well as some tips to using this 2012 Color of the Year.

Tangerine and Navy

Tangerine and Turquoise

Tangerine and Gold

Tangerine and Purple

No need to worry about bridesmaid dresses to match. The Dessy Group has bridesmaid dresses in Pantone’s actual colors.  You can even order chiplettes of the actual color to give to vendors for planning so they can match everything perfectly! So cool!

Are you having a Tangerine Tango wedding?  What do you think of the 2012 Color of the Year?

We would love to know!

Happy Planning!

Burlap and Lace Wedding

At first thought this may seem like an unlikely pairing but after seeing it together I am in love with this combination.  Something about the rough, woodsy feeling of burlap and the soft, elegant feel of lace go together perfectly.

I think this combination works best if the bride incorporates lace in to her wedding attire.  That doesn’t mean you have to wear an entire lace dress but incorporating it in to your veil, head piece, gloves or even sash would be the perfect way to pull this theme together.

There are so many different ways to have a burlap and lace wedding. Here are some inspiration photos and ideas to make this combination look beautiful together.

For the flowers, try tying burlap around the bridesmaids bouquets and tying the bridal bouquet with lace and burlap to give the perfect touch of both in the flowers.

Burlap and lace make beautiful table runners or chair ties for your guest tables and is such an easy and simple way to add to your theme.

You can also tie lace or burlap around the vases for your flowers.

Favor boxes with a burlap flower give is a beautiful gift to give your guests.

Another touch are these amazing lace lanterns, these are a great DIY project!

The wedding cake can even mimic the lace on your dress!

If you want to have a cupcake wedding cake, these cupcakes would be perfect!

I hope these ideas and pictures have given your the inspiration to have your own burlap and lace wedding!

Happy Planning!
