Unique Guest Book Ideas

I am always on the lookout for new and creative guest book ideas!

I love the idea of creating a unique way to remember the guests who shared in your special day!  I am betting you could ask married couples and many of them haven’t opened their guest book since their wedding. Who wants a book they never look at?

Some of my favorite guest book ideas are not only beautiful, but functional. My new favorite guest book idea is a bench that all your guests can sign and be displayed in your home!  I love it! Every time you use the bench you will remember your wedding day.

I also adore guest books that are fun for your guests.  Take a look at this mad- lib wedding edition well wishes card.  How fun and quite possibly hilarious would this be to read after your wedding!

Another fun idea is to have your guests write you a real postcard that can be mailed to your home.  You can have a designated person mail them while you are on your honeymoon so when you return your mailbox will be full of well wishes and personal letters from friends and family!

Another fun idea is for guests to sign a calendar.  They sign on their birthday’s so the couple will never forget.  I have also seen this done with address cards!

Another super creative guest book idea is to have guests sign their own quilt square.  After the wedding you can have all the squares to make a quilt that can be kept for generations to come!

For a vintage inspired wedding, using an old typewriter is a great guest book idea.  Have guests leave a personal wedding wish or message to you.  Then, after the wedding have the pages bound together to make a personal wedding day book unlike any other!

I hope these ideas have inspired you to create your own unique guest book idea!  If you have a creative idea not listed above, we would love to hear about it!

Wedding Decor: Mirror, Mirror!

Mirrors have been used for years to decorate weddings and for good reason.  Mirrors are fairly inexpensive and work wonders to make a centerpiece go from fair to fantastic!

One of the biggest reasons brides use mirrors is to reflect light.  Placed under any flower arrangement and paired with candles a mirror will make the entire centerpiece sparkle.

Over the last year, brides are thinking outside of the box and using mirrors in unique and creative ways.  Check out these DIY framed mirror stands with table numbers painted on them!

Beveled mirrors are being used as chargers under the guest plates.  How gorgeous is this?  Although it could get quite expensive if you have a lot of guests.

Try laying down three or more mirrors together or buying a long piece of mirrored glass to create a table runner!

Mirrored vases and mirrored columns are a new modern way to use mirrors.  Mirrored vases are also an easy DIY project if you are crafty!

Another way to use mirrors is to find one large mirror to display that you can write your menu or guest tables on.  Such a unique and stunning way to display information to your guests!

My favorite way to use mirrors is to hang them to make a jaw dropping backdrop!

Are you using mirrors?  Tell us how!

Wedding Decor: Fruits and Veggies

Incorporating unique elements in to your ceremony and reception decor is a great way to make your wedding unique.  One of easiest ways to do this is to use fruits and vegetables in your bouquets and centerpieces!

For example, berries are a great addition to a bouquet.  They add a touch of color and from afar look like tiny intricate flowers!

One of my favorite vegetables to use are artichokes.  Placed amongst other flowers or vegetables it looks amazing and extremely unique!

The bouquet below mixed the baby artichokes with kale and radishes…who knew that would look so stunning?!

Almost any fruit you can think of  looks great in a bouquet or centerpiece.  Apples, pears, oranges, lemons and limes are some of the most popular.  The vibrant color of the fruit is a great way to add a splash of color to any arrangement!

Can you believe this table centerpiece is made using green tomatoes?  So creative and beautiful!

Using fruits and vegetables in your decor can also help to save money especially if you want to make a centerpiece fuller.  It is a lot less expensive to use fruit and veggies than to use fresh flowers.  And if you are crafty, this is a great DIY project!

Are you using fruit in your wedding centerpieces?  What fruit or vegetables are you using?
