Have you ever wanted to create a bucket list? A bucket list consists of things you want to do. Some people create bucket lists for a season, for a year or even for a lifetime. As you start your new life as husband and wife why not create a bucket list of things to do as a married couple? Coming up with that list may be harder than it sounds, so try asking your wedding guests to help you!
Have guests write down a bucket list item they think your should do as a married couple. Read them after the wedding and start checking off your items!
You can even ask guests for a travel bucket list!
I think this is my favorite bucket list item!
Do you love this idea as much as we do?
What would your bucket list item be for a newly married couple?
Nobody says you have to give your groom a present on the day of the wedding but sometimes the simplest of gifts can be the most meaningful. These little trinkets can be a great way of reminding each other what the day is really about; the two of you joining your lives together. It can be hard deciding what to get your groom as a wedding present but here are a few ideas we love.
My favorite idea is to purchase a nice leather journal during the engagement and write a small note every day leading up to the wedding. Or write a heartfelt letter in the beginning of the journal telling your man how excited you are to become his wife.
Surprise your groom with a tie embroidered with a special message on the back. He can wear it for the wedding and wear it again and always think of your wedding day!
To make your fiance laugh, give him a pair of socks to make sure he doesn’t get cold feet!
If your fiance has a favorite sports team, look to see if you can purchase a brick engraved with his name to be put in the walkways near the stadium. To some of us girls a brick wouldn’t be the best gift, but to a true fan this is a gift he will love. Give it with a pair of tickets and it will make this gift even better!
When you just can’t think of a gift or feel you don’t have any money left after paying for the wedding a card can be the best gift of all. Write a sweet note and he will love it just as much as any gift.
Do you have a unique present you are giving your groom? We want to know!
Chalkboards are an essential decor item for a rustic or vintage wedding. There are so many great details that can be made out of chalkboards and many of these details can be DIY projects. Here are a few of our favorites.
Give your guests a sneak peek of your theme with a chalkboard inspired wedding invitation!
Forget about programs and have one large chalkboard with all of your ceremony details. Don’t forget to include your wedding hash tag for social media sites.
Of course chalkboards are great for directional signs so guests can find their way to the ceremony or reception location.
Chalkboards are also perfect for informational signs. Especially for food or bar stations. If you don’t have the best handwriting there are many local artists that specialize in hand made custom chalkboards!
Small chalkboards are great for little details throughout the wedding like these chalkboard table numbers, place cards or my favorite idea of drink labels!
Which chalkboard idea is your favorite? Will you have chalkboards at your wedding?
