15 Modern Ceremony Songs

Picking out the music for your wedding can be one of the hardest things to do during the planning.  Choosing the perfect music for your ceremony can be even harder, especially when you want nontraditional music.  My advice when choosing your ceremony music is to choose something where the words speak to you and fit your personalities.  If you love a melody of a song but the words don’t quite fit, try finding an instrumental version.  Here are 15 of my favorite modern and nontraditional ceremony songs.

” Ho Hey” by The Lumineers is a fun Recessional Song

New Trend: Wedge Wedding Shoes

A long overdue trend for brides and bridesmaids is to wear wedge shoes instead of high heeled shoes on their wedding day.

Personally I think any bride getting married outside, should consider wearing wedge heeled shoes.  With wedges you won’t have to worry about your heel getting stuck in the grass as you walk down the aisle or take your photographs.

They are also great for giving you height without making it difficult to walk around.  Not to mention how much better your feet will feel at the end of the wedding day.  Usually your poor feet ache towards the end of the event and you end up taking them off.  With wedges you can dance all night and not have tired feet at the end of your wedding!
