Hand Painted Wedding Shoes

What girl doesn’t love shoes?  Finding a wedding shoe is never an easy task and my new favorite find is hand painted wedding shoes!  The main designer of these works of art is Figgie Shoes.  These are couture hand painted shoes created just for you.  You can send the designer, Deborah, all of your wedding details like date, names, as well as hobbies and wedding colors to create a one of a kind wedding shoe! You can also choose the type of shoe like flats, wedges or heels and even choose your heel height so they are the perfect match for you and your wedding!

These shoes are a little expensive but are truly a keepsake for a lifetime!  I also love the idea of wearing them every wedding anniversary to celebrate your life together!

I love these shoes by Figgie that have the wedding vows written on them.  How sweet!

If these shoes are a little too expensive for you try creating your own.  Or you can find some of these creations on sites like Etsy that can be more affordable but may not have the detail of a Figgie shoe.

New Trend: Wedge Wedding Shoes

A long overdue trend for brides and bridesmaids is to wear wedge shoes instead of high heeled shoes on their wedding day.

Personally I think any bride getting married outside, should consider wearing wedge heeled shoes.  With wedges you won’t have to worry about your heel getting stuck in the grass as you walk down the aisle or take your photographs.

They are also great for giving you height without making it difficult to walk around.  Not to mention how much better your feet will feel at the end of the wedding day.  Usually your poor feet ache towards the end of the event and you end up taking them off.  With wedges you can dance all night and not have tired feet at the end of your wedding!

Top Five Bridal Shoe Trends for 2013

Over the last few years, choosing a bridal shoe has become a lot of fun!  Bridal shoes used to look the same.  Most wedding shoes were white or ivory satin pumps with little to no sparkle or embellishment.  Not today!  There are so many shoes to choose from that will give you that wow factor you are looking for!  I have listed below my top five favorite wedding shoe trends for next year.

1. Sparkle

One trend that is not going away any time soon is the sparkly wedding shoe.  In 2012, an all sparkly wedding shoe reigned supreme.  In 2013, the all sparkle shoes will still be around but some designers are only using heavy sparkles on the heel of the shoe.  One look that was on the runways for 2013 was straps that looked like a necklace for your ankle…LOVE this look!

2.Blue

Another trend that is only getting bigger in wedding shoes is brides wearing the color blue!  Brides are using their blue shoes as their “something blue”.  Plus it adds a splash of color to their bridal look.

3.Prints

A new trend emerging is the use of prints.  Prints of all kinds are already being used for the wedding decor and are now showing up in bridal shoes.  For example, look at these beautiful floral shoes.  Don’t be afraid to be bold and choose your favorite pattern to wear like these cheetah shoes!

4.Vintage

I think everyone knows how popular vintage weddings are and in 2013 you will see lots of weddings inspired by the 1920’s.  These booties are a perfect example of the vintage style and look of the 20’s.

5. Texture

You can still find plain white, ivory or nude wedding shoes for 2013 but many shoes for next year will not lack embellishments!  Shoes will now match the wedding dresses by using lace, ruffles and bows.  Now you can find the perfect match to your wedding dress instead of wondering which shoes to choose!
